Complex Trauma Assessment
Complex Trauma Assessment (Private Pay Only)
I offer complex trauma assessments designed to deepen understanding of how chronic stress, relational wounding, or early life adversity may be impacting your current emotional, relational, and nervous system patterns.
This is not a diagnostic evaluation and does not result in a formal psychological diagnosis or report. Instead, it is an exploratory process that draws from clinical interviewing, optional standardized measures, and collaborative reflection to identify patterns shaped by complex trauma.
The goal is to support insight, self-understanding, and therapeutic direction—not to establish eligibility for accommodations or insurance reimbursement.
FAQS
-
After I receive your interest form, I will be in touch to schedule a brief 15 minutes phone call, ideally within the same week. If we decide to move forward with scheduling the intake, you’ll get an automated email inviting you to set up your client portal and complete initial paperwork. You will use your client portal and login to join the intake and any future therapy sessions.
Please note paperwork must be completed PRIOR to your first appointment/intake.
-
During your first appointment we’ll go through any questions that you had while going through the initial paperwork and then I'll invite you to share more about yourself, your background, the concerns bringing you to therapy, and any hopes or goals that you have for our work together.
At the end of the appointment, you'll have the option to decide whether you would like to move forward with working together for ongoing therapy sessions.
-
Sessions are typically 55 minutes and it is often recommended (especially at the start of treatment) that they occur on a weekly basis. Participating in therapy regularly and consistently can significantly improve the impact of your work and contribute to deeper exploration and change. With that said, during your intake appointment, we will develop a treatment plan that is best suited for your particular needs.

I currently only offer services via telehealth, using TherapyNotes which is a secure HIPPA compliant platform. For telehealth sessions, clients must have a confidential/private space for meeting and be physically located in a state that I am licensed in (i.e. MT and WA).

Many out-of-state BlueCross/BlueShield plans (e.g. Premera Blue Cross in WA) include what is called the "BlueCard Program," which essentially means that your BCBS plan could be in-network with me. You can verify this by calling the BlueCard eligibility line at 800-676-BLUE (2583).
I am considered an out-of-network provider for all health insurance plans. Therapy costs may still be partially covered, depending on your out-of-network benefits. I encourage you to call your insurance provider to determine your out-of-network benefits and any relevant deductible, co-pay, or session limit information. If using out-of-network benefits, you are responsible for the full fee at the time of service. I can provide you with a superbill (a receipt for therapy that includes the relevant billing codes) that you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement.
I have a limited number of sliding scale slots reserved for people from systemically marginalized communities (e.g., BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, low SES). Please reach out to learn more about current openings as relevant. -
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services. In compliance with the No Surprises Act, a written estimate can be requested that includes a description of services, session fees, and diagnostic codes.

Life can get in the way of scheduled appointments. I ask that you provide me with at least 24 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Missed sessions or sessions cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment are charged the full session fee unless other arrangements are made (e.g. rescheduled within the same week depending on mutual availability). It is important to note for in-network clients that insurance will not reimburse you for unattended sessions.
